Mohamad Yasin Bin Abdullah Chief Financial Officer
En. Mohamad Yasin Bin Abdullah, a Malaysian aged 34, has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Suria Capital Holdings Berhad since 1st December 2006. He is a graduate of International Islamic University, Malaysia (UIA) with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Master of Business Administration (Finance). He has been involved in the financial management of public-listed companies and financial institutions in the country. He started his career as a Chartered Accountant with Malayan Banking Berhad for six years until 2002. Later, he joined a construction-based public-listed company, Tronoh Consolidated Malaysia Berhad (now known as Zelan Berhad) for about 3 years as the Finance Manager. Prior to joining SURIA, he was the Head of Finance / Vice President, Finance of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad, Kuala Lumpur.
En. Mohamad Yasin is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA) issued by the Accounting and Auditing Organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), Bahrain. He is also a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). Currently, he also serves as a member of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) Working Group for Islamic Financial Reporting.
