Mr. Puney Kiob @ Robert Puney, aged 43 was seconded to Suria Capital Holdings Berhad and assumed the post of Business Development Manager effectively 1st August 2007. Prior to the secondment, he served under Sabah Ports Sdn Bhd as Assistant Manager Finance, supervising and coordinating non Development Projects.

He started his career in Sabah Ports Authority in 1985 as an Assistant Accountant Internal Audit soon after graduating from ITM with a Diploma in Business Studies. Subsequent years later, he was assigned to serve the Cost & Budget Section and Expenditure and Payroll Section under the Finance Department.

In 1994, he was granted study leave without pay to pursue his Bachelor degree in Accounting at UiTM, Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Esan. Graduated in 1996 with BAcc(Hons), he came back to serve SPA and was promoted to Senior Assistant Accountant attached to Revenue Section.

In 1998, he was reassigned to the General Manager Office to serve as personal assistant to the General Manager. In the same year, he was admitted as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountant (MIA).

In 2000, SPA granted him 18 months scholarship to pursue MBA twining programme conducted by Edit Cowan University, Western Australia and UiTM. He graduated in early 2002.

Days leading to the privatization of SPA, he was given the responsibility to coordinate, prepare, and submit important documents, information, data and etc, within the ports/departments to the Main Privatization Steering Committee of SPA as well as to Suria Capital Holdings Berhad until SPA eventually privatized on 1st September 2004.
